For schools and education

Belonging is something a school practices.

We design supports so empathy practices live across your school, from orientation to graduation. Grounded in the Five Phases of Empathy™, and measured so your board sees the result.

WHO
The model

One partner, across the moments that shape your year

Orientation and community-building in the fall. Belonging and identity work in the winter. Transitions, leadership and send-offs in the spring. We map the Five Phases to the moments your calendar already has: assemblies, faculty in-service days, family evenings, student leadership cohorts. Every engagement includes a pre and post measurement pack, and we transfer the practice to your faculty and student leaders so it lives without us.

A Lower School session at The Steward School
Start

A single moment

One assembly, faculty workshop or family evening, with a first working tool your school uses the same week.

Build

A calendar-aligned series

Multi-moment engagement across the year: student cohorts, faculty PD sequences, train-the-facilitator work.

Partner

Embedded and measured

Co-created, year-round partnership with pre and post belonging measurement, reported for your board.

Where we’ve worked

On campus, from lower school to college

The work looks different in a Lower School classroom than it does in an admissions office, and different again in a faculty in-service. Three engagements, at three scales, give a sense of the range. We have also delivered at Westminster, Lycée Français de San Francisco, Beachwood Schools, Johns Hopkins Nursing, Stanford Law, and School Leader Lab in Washington, D.C.

The Steward School

A schoolwide Visiting Innovator day: keynotes for Middle and Upper School, design-thinking sessions with students and faculty, and a family evening.

Hamilton College

The Five Phases adopted by Admissions and Financial Aid to support first-generation candidates, alongside values workshops on campus.

The Hill School

A talk during DEI week, plus 20+ student and faculty facilitators trained to carry the practice forward.

What participants report

Measured results your board can read

Every engagement closes with a survey, so a moment on the calendar turns into something your leadership team can act on.

93%
said the experience created an opportunity to connect more deeply with colleagues.
95%
said they felt a safe space to bring their full selves.
87%
said they want more experiences like this at their institution.

Post-engagement surveys across recent partnerships, n ≈ 100. Custom measurement plans available at every tier.
